What’s biting me?
There is a myriad of pests that bite: bed bugs, mosquitos, fleas, ticks, spiders, etc. To figure out which one is biting you, it is important to be aware of when/where you appear to be getting these bites. For example, if you wake up each morning with a series of bites arranged in lines you may be dealing with bed bugs, or if you were hanging outside in the shade near a pond or lake, it’s likely you were the victim of some hungry mosquitos. Also noticing other conditions that may allude to pest activity can help identify the pest in question – this can include noticing your dog or cat suddenly scratching a lot which is a common sign of fleas. The best way to tell however, is by having one of our pest control professionals come inspect your home. They will also be able to ask you in depth questions that can help narrow down the suspects and may even recognize the culprits just by the look of the bites. Also, some irritations may actually be skin rashes and not a bug bite. It is always best to seek the help of medical professionals when what appears to be a bite or rash persists for longer than one or two weeks.
